Graphite is an allotropicity of carbon. It is a kind of soft mineral in most carbon mineral. The hardness of graphite is just 1.0-2.0, its density is 2.0-2.2 t/m³.

For now, graphite source founded is distributed in China, the Czech Republic, Mexico, Brazil, North Korea, India and Madagascar. Our country has the abundant graphite source in the worldwide; it is distributed in Heilongjiang province, Inner Mongolia, Shandong province, Hunan province, etc.

Graphite is widely used as lubricant, pencil lead, refractory materials, and casting, molding and high temperature metallurgy materials. It also used in atomic energy industry, petroleum chemical industry, soda acid production, synthetic fiber and paper.

The wettability of graphite surface is little. The graphite is easy to float. According to the features of graphite ore, its basic process is Two sections or Three sections crushing,

One section or Periodicity grinding, and then rougher flotation, concentrate flotation and more sections concentrate. In addition, oversize particle is recovered by shaking table.
